A lil politics

"A grassroots movement is one driven by the community. The term implies that the creation of the movement and the group supporting it is natural and spontaneous, highlighting the differences between this and a movement that is orchestrated by traditional power structures. Often, grassroots movements are at the local level, as many volunteers in the community give their time to support the local party, which can lead to helping the national party."
Definition of Grassroots - Wikipedia

Well we are in the heat of things this presidential election year. Democrats and Republicans are fighting dirty, digging up each others shady past. But lets get down to the bottom of this....what really matters in each candidate and the entire political system.

Democrats have the same foundation. Where Obama, Hillary, and Edwards are different is the specifics of the policies they want to implement when they get in office. The basic foundation of democrats is more government, less military, with focus on the people giving them the power (money). It is the same with the Republicans, Giulani, Romney, Huckabee, and McCain. They believe in less government, and more power to establishment, and more military with focus on global economy. So its really a matter of what people in the U.S. want. More government, or less. More military, or less. National strength, or global economy.

Electing politicians down to the district level is critical. A lot of people don't realize their importance. District representatives represent the people in their district during the Presidential Primary elections. But that person does not have to vote for who the majority of people in the district picks. Its the same with the general election in November for the Electoral College (members of congress), they do not have to vote for the person the majority of people in their state selects. So think about that the next time you have to vote for these people.

Look up Primary Election and Caucus to see which state has them, what is the difference between them to, and how they operate. There is a big difference between them.

Grassroots politics is something everyone needs to be involved with on some level. That is where all of the dirty work is done and that is where politicians look to in order to find out what the people want. If you don't say anything, nothing will happen. Look to Neighborhood Oranizations, Community Outreach Organizations, and other non-profit organizations for all of the grassroots politics. Honestly, every community should rally around each other and stay informed. That is the only way the working-class person voice can get heard.

I know I sent out various pieces of information to a lot of people I know, and I discovered I have an issue with those on the receiving end. I hear no voice. Maybe they have an opinion, but I don't know what it is. I want to know how you all feel about these people, and if you like or dislike what they are presenting to you. Because maybe I can help you get your voice heard. But if I don't hear anything, I will assume that most don't care.

Get involved, get ya hands into this political scheme before it gets you. Because it will if you don't say anything and just role with the status quo.
