So here is the latest with our $700 billion bailout money:
So far only $350 has been given out, Bush is bout to ask for the rest next week.
But the first 350 has been used by banks to buy other assets, purchase bonds, and take corporate trips to carribbean islands. And nothing has changed in the economy...banks aren't giving out loans, sub-prime mortgages in foreclosure hasn't been renegotiated, and we lost over a million jobs since November. And to top it off, the banks are not being held accountable.
I've been speaking against this foolish bill from the jump and look at what they are doing with our money that we will have to pay back. This democratic congress better NOT give Bush that other 350!
Then from what I'm hearing bout Obama's plan, it is flawed :-( He said its going to create AND save about 2 million jobs, and that number has a large margin of error he said. There is a difference between creating 2 million jobs and saving 2 million jobs. What he needs to do instead of finding short term flawed fixes, is take our tax dollars and come up with long term/permanent solutions.
Listen, if we want to fix this economy, this has to happen:
1) Every home loan in foreclosure has to be renegotiated and put into a fixed interest rate.
2) End that war so we can see how much we owe China and get out of debt to them
Increase everybodys taxes so we can pay off our debt and increase the value of the dollar
3) Invest more of our tax dollars into wind energy and education, this will help stop global warming and get us off oil; and a smarter society finds ways to solve problems and pay our teachers more!
4) We need to create more stuff. Thats how jobs will be created. We are not creators of anything except war, debt, and death. How about expanded the health care industry. That industry has not been touched by this economic mess. Double preventive care jobs, increase the incentives to become doctors, and pay nurses more!
5) Bring 75% of our industrial and factory jobs back home!
But of course, there are a lot of egos in our political world, so they wont listen to anything that makes sense. So go ahead and blow the other $350 billion and approve Barack's plan :-(
