"Someday? Someday my dream will come? One night you will wake up and discover it never happened. It's all turned around on you. It never will. Suddenly you are old. Didn't happen, and it never will, because you were never going to do it anyway. You'll push it into memory and then zone out in your barco lounger, being hypnotized by daytime TV for the rest of your life. Don't you talk to me about murder. All it ever took was a down payment on a Lincoln town car. That girl, you can't even call that girl. What the fuck are you still doing driving a cab? "
Vincent - Collateral (2004)
Well folks its Sunday. And as I look back on this past week, there were some frustrations from a couple of folks, but its nothing I won't overcome. Karma, the energy of the world, will do its job. But in any case, I fell asleep on the couch last night and I woke up to a pretty good T.D. Jakes sermon on the tube. He was talking about being yourself and not trying to be someone else. So I'm gonna give my thoughts on his topic.
And I pretty much agree with what he says. I tell one of my nieces all the time to be who she is and not try to emulate me. We all have to walk our own individual paths in life to fulfil our life's purpose. Don't compare yourself to anyone because when/if you dont measure up to what that person has done, does not mean your life is over or you are a failure. You have to do what you are designed to do. A lot of folks do not know what their purpose is. And I say look inside yourself to find that answer. Get down on your knees and ask God to open your eyes to reveal that purpose. Then fold your legs and meditate allow your spirit to take control of your mind so you can live for your purpose.
Live for today, get the selfishness out of your heart, aim to be devine, and no matter what anyone tells you be who you are born to be.
On another note :-)
I'm sitting here listening to Meet The Press on the tube and they are talking about cancer. Folks are so confused about that disease. I'll save this for tomorrows topic.
