Its Traveling Time

"What happens is, old man Wilkins never come out of the bathroom. Sat right there and died on the shitter. "
Willie Long - Life (1999)

I just made a command decision the other day. I'm pretty much done with traveling to the great 48 US states. I'll catch cities like Seattle, Phoenix, and Memphis whenever an opportunity arises. I've seen a lot of different cities in the US plenty of time, but I know there a lot more out there for me to see. I spent two years in England, and while I was over there I saw a lot of Europe. But for 2008, I got my eye on islands only; places like the Virgin Islands, Turks and Cacaos, Jamaica, and Bermuda. Then in 2009, I'm thinking Egypt and China. One thing that does get old to me about traveling is going to the same place multiple times. I did that with a few spots, and sometimes when I am there I be thinking stuff like "I could have used this money and went to Vancouver." But its all good, I have no regrets.

When I hear how some people have never really been out of their hometown, I think how lucky and blessed I am to have seen and experienced all that I have. If I remember correctly, I mentioned this in one of my previous posts, but I think everyone needs to leave their hometown for 5yrs then go back home. Because while you are away, you gain a certain appreciation for life and family and everything in between. Its a great experience to see other things outside of your day-to-day life because you see how other people are living and you get to learn some history too. Life is an experience; an opportunity to learn, grow, and understand spiritually and mentally. So I travel to gain all those things....and so should you.

I see 2008 being a big year for me because the idle time ends when 2007 ends. I'll be all about making big moves and big decisions. I'm in the middle of planning a few things right now.

Live for the moment, don't waste time, try to see and do it all.

DON'T GO TO TURKS & CIACOS!! It's beautiful, expensive as hell, a lot of inter-rasicim and not much to do because it's still developing. If you MUST go, I highly recommend going with your significant other because ain't much to do but get "creative" -LoL. You've been warned!
