Here nor There

"As you are, I was. As I am, you will be."

Its been a crazy lil time since I last posted. Life is amazing ya know but I'm focused and I hope people will understand what I am saying.

Looking at my personal life, I'm grateful that my mom is all and well. And this drives me to the point of saying this again....take care of your body! We only get one. If you are not having bowel movements 8hrs after you eat, you need to go to the doctor! You need to be eating fresh fruits and vegetables every day! There needs to be some type of physical activity in your life. Take the stairs, not the elevator. Stop eating all that fast food and fried foods.

Looking at my professional life, I see things even more clearer. There is nothing stopping anyone from doing anything in their professional life, all they have to do is go out there and get it. Some people want handouts, and that is not going to happen in corporate america. Some people say they want certain responsibilities, but are they really ready to handle those responsibilities. Some people need to have better vision professionally instead of walking around aimlessly....meaning where do you want your career to go.

Looking at my academic life, I am getting my mojo back. I have a focus now that is almost at the same level as when I was in undergrad. This doctorate degree stuff is not that hard. Its actually just a matter of making time to do it. I know looking at the job market today, masters degrees are almost a given. So some people are going for two masters degrees. But I decided to stand that much further out and go for the doctorate degree. So I'm focused, the mojo is back and nothing will stop me from being Dr. Irby.

Looking at my social life, traveling is my love. I cannot get enough of seeing the world. In 2009, I'm thinking Bermuda, Puerto Rico, China, Detroit (home), and one or two last minute trips. I'll extend invitations for all of these trips but I know aint nobody gonna wanna roll. So I'll send yall pics and be done with it.

Looking at politics, how hilarious is this stuff. The US govt is set up where nobody can really dominate the scene. Executive branch is policy (make laws official). Judicial brach is law (enforces law). Legislative branch holds the money and they create law. It is amazing how some people think the democratic party is going to make the world a better place. First mistake is this stimulus package. Please don't pass it. It won't work because they are putting the money in the wrong hands. They are essentially using the "top down method". That never works. They money never makes it to the people that matters for an extended period. And now the banks are about to ask for the rest of the #350 Billion from the Bank Bailout, plus a few extra billion!!!!! This has to be the biggest rip off in world history. Infrastruture projects only account for 5% of the entire stimulus package. The money needs to go to creating industrial jobs, technology jobs, medical jobs, and finding a way to bring back the jobs we lost to other countries. We need to export more than import. And until we do that, we will be locked in this tailspin.
